Photography Studio.
So this past monday, we went to Jim Lennons studio, and it really opened my eyes as to how much is actually going on in a studio. Between the money it takes to get to that point, and the clients you need to keep to keep the studio going, i was stressed out just listening to it. This was something i wanted to do with my photography career, and overlooking everything, and hearing what Jim had to say, i don't think this is what i want to do. I'm not so sure if this is something i will pursue in the future, but i will definitely take time out to think about it. I may use Jim as my source for my interview so i cant find out more about the business, i'm excited to find out what could happen if i had my own studio. hmmmm, we will find out (:

the things over-thinking will do to you.
so iv'e been thinking a lot, and iv'e noticed iv'e had a lot more on my mind than i thought. this semester has been so over whelming for me, not having been in school for 2 years, and i'm still not sure if this is what i want to do. but then i realized that i wouldn't wish or want to do anything else besides photography (at least something that i could go to school for). yes, its very frustrating, and i honestly have hated the photo 1 course, but i'm learning, and i also realized i cant imagine myself doing anything else besides this. every time i hate an assignment, i keep saying to myself, "it'll get better, it will, you never know how next semester is going to be, stick to it." so i am. but its so hard. lucky enough for me, i know how to push myself to that next level. i know not to give up, because if i give up, ill never know what could happen. i never know if ill love it. because this semester is all commercial based. next semester is fine art. ugh, its really hard for me to decide what to do. theres two things i've wanted to do with my life. photography, and tattooing. i've promised myself a while ago that i can do either of them. but i want to be prepared for either. theres no degree for tattooing, so this is what i'm going to school for, and i will get my degree, and i will move on. i will then be prepared enough for photography. then its just to get my license in tattooing, which i'm currently working on too. so here we go. i'm on my way to what i want to do. and hell, i could do both if i really wanted to. i just have to prepare myself. but anyways, i'm getting side tracked. i really just hope that next semester wont stress me out as much as this one, because i want this to work. every time i get frustrated, i just think of the first photo i took, and how i felt, and how i never wanted to get out of the darkroom, and how much i loved digital when i first started. i hope this works out. maybe commercial just isn't my calling. hmm, well i guess i'll just have to stick it out and find out.

oh, how cute !
so this week in photo 1 i had to do portraiture. not bad, being that i love working with people. so i had my two friends help me out, and i took some cute photos of them. it was adorable. i had oh too much fun. i just hope i understood the assignment completely. maybe since i incorporated last weeks assignment with this weeks, ill get a pat on the back or something. here are some of the images.

well, this week was surprisingly easy.
so in photo 1 this week, we had to do a horror book for a night photography shoot. it took me a little while to get it down but hey, i had to learn somehow. luckily i had an awesome model who ive been using for about 5 years for most of my photography. shes absolutely amazing, and stunning, may i add. so it was easy for me to get frustrated and not be completely embarrassed, because i know her so well. SO, while doing this, i finally got the whole process down, even though my ISO was up pretty high, but hey, i cant get everything down perfectly. what i did was based off of the movie, the black swan. i just really liked the concept, so i messed around a little with it.

also, i looked at what we had to do for the week in photo seminar, and looking at my week and how everything went, i have to say, this week was relatively easy. i didnt really have all that much homework (surprisingly), so it was relatively simple for me. and im very thankful for it because ive been sick ): but anyways, for my regular weeks, i have my schedule down pretty much. i do my homework as i see it needs to be done (its normally done the day its given to me), and whatever essays i have to do are always done in a process. i see my work flow working out for me. although, i didnt fill out the chart that i saw on the website, because i unfortunately have no ink in my printer (and it also didnt help that i just realized there was a chart to do. oops.) hopefully that doesnt kill my grade here. >_<
